About SCV Electrical

I am David Gilbert, director and founder of SCV

I have 15 years’ experience as an electrician, having learnt the trade working for a contractor in Gloucestershire, and subsequently as sub-contractor for various large London-based contractors. I have worked on many domestic, commercial and industrial projects throughout my career.

After some time, I realised that I could provide a better service if I could make the managerial decisions that impact the customer. I found that by providing a first-class service, I was never short of work.

SCV Electrical was born on these principles and has grown ever since. We operate as a small, versatile, efficient team of hand-picked electricians to ensure a consistently high level of service. At SCV Electrical we operate on the same principles as a popular and successful restaurant.

We want you to come back and believe that this will happen only if you are 100% satisfied. We want to build a relationship with you based on loyalty, trust, satisfaction and professionalism. We want you to feel confident that you are in expert hands.

As a homeowner, you know that there are a lot of maintenance tasks that need to be performed in order to keep your home in good shape. But did you know that electrical maintenance is one of the most important things you can do to keep your home safe and running smoothly? Your home’s electrical system is made up of a complex network of wiring and components, and it’s constantly being used. That means that over time, it can start to wear down and break down. And if you don’t keep up with electrical maintenance, those problems can become serious hazards. There are two key reasons why electrical maintenance is so important:

1. Keep Your Home Safe

Above all, electrical maintenance is important because it can keep your home safe. Electrical problems are one of the leading causes of fires and injuries in the home. So, if you want to keep your home and your family safe, it’s important to keep up with electrical maintenance. One of the most serious hazards associated with electrical problems is fire. If your home’s wiring is old or damaged, it can easily spark and start a fire. And if you have overloaded circuits or faulty outlets, that’s another fire hazard. By keeping up with electrical maintenance, you can help to prevent fires before they start. That means checking your wiring on a regular basis and making sure that it’s up to code. It also means being careful about overloading circuits and not using damaged outlets.

2. It Can Save You Money

Another reason to keep up with electrical maintenance is that it can save you money. If you have electrical problems in your home, they can cause your energy bills to go up. That’s because when your wiring is damaged or your outlets are faulty, your home’s electrical system has to work harder to function. But if you keep up with electrical maintenance, you can help to keep your energy bills low. That’s because when your electrical system is running smoothly, it doesn’t have to work as hard – and that means it uses less energy. Maintenance can also prolong the life of your appliances. That’s because when your electrical system is having problems, it can put a strain on your appliances. And that can shorten their lifespan. So, if you want your appliances to last as long as possible, make sure you keep up with electrical maintenance. That way, you can help to keep them running smoothly and efficiently.
